The Electrical Technology program at our campus locations in Connecticut and Worcester, MA will help you take the first steps toward becoming an electrician. We'll give you a solid foundation of basic electrical theory and the technical skills you'll need to work in a variety of settings.

You can choose from two education delivery options currently offered at select campuses:
- Blended Program – Lecture online, labs on campus
Offered at: Bridgeport CT, Hamden CT, New London CT, and Waterbury CT - On-Ground Program - Lectures and labs on campus
Projected* to be offered at: Hamden CT, New London CT , Waterbury CT, and Worcester MA
*On-ground availability is anticipated for classes beginning 1/6/25. Should on-ground classes not be available, students could begin the program following the hybrid delivery schedule.

LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS, CREDENTIALS
This program has been approved at the CT campuses for the 720 related instruction hours required for the Connecticut E-2 license. Students must achieve a 75 or better in a course for the instruction hours to count toward their “related hours.” Candidates also need to accrue 8,000 hours of work in the field prior to being eligible to apply to sit for the licensing exam.
The program has been approved at Worcester, MA candidates for a Class B license (journeyman electrician) must have completed 600 clock hours of approved classroom instruction and 8,000 hours of electrical work experience. The classroom lecture component of PCI’s electrical program has been approved by the Board toward the 600-hour classroom instruction requirement.
Students have the opportunity to earn their OSHA-30 certification.
